John
Maxfield’s work on the sale of my house was extraordinary. I called
him on a Wednesday afternoon, just before leaving for a 10 day trip
out of the country. He came to my house immediately that evening for
a preliminary conversation, returned with contracts later that night,
and arranged to have my house photographed and posted within three
days. The open house was the Sunday before I returned from my trip
abroad, and by Monday I had eight offers on the house. I followed
John’s advice and set a pricing window for the house instead of
asking a specific price, and it worked! After some negotiations, I
accepted an offer for $38,000 over the asking price.
I
am a school leader and work long hours in a stressful job, and so
everything about the sale of my house and the subsequent move was a
challenge for me. John was there at every step of the way, helping
out when there were details I couldn’t manage, and making sure that
everything was done in a timely fashion. At every point in the
process, I felt that he advocated for me, anticipated challenges that
might arise, and offered me compassionate support.
John
was smart, savvy and compassionate. He made what is for many sellers
a stressful and discouraging experience, especially in this financial
market, a pleasant rite of passage and one that turned out extremely
well for me in a financial sense. I really cannot recommend him
highly enough.
